Baby Sea Otter

One of my favorite things about California is the abundance of wildlife. We have been blessed to experience so many of them so far! Today my Mama Bear heart is remembering the beautiful sea otters we encountered in Morro Bay. They have a nursery there for the moms and babies in the wild. You can spot them as you walk the sidewalks and docks splashing, swimming and eating joyfully!

I have never seen a baby otter even among my times in Florida. It was a complete surprise to us as we walked to see a mom feeding and cleaning her baby as she floated on her back. They are the sweetest looking creatures! I could have stood there watching them for hours and been at peace deep in my heart with the joy it brought me. I have always been the person who loves motherhood. Whether it’s a family taking pictures on the beach or a momma otter feeding her baby, my heart warms and I just know I love it.
