Come Chill

South Texas beaches truly hold beauty, both in the place and the people you find there. There are so many beautiful spots that you can find if you search. Having a Jeep allows for a bit more exploration options than my truck although bringing the truck is much better for a good fishing or BBQ day.
One of my favorite things is that we can have campfire pits on the beaches. I absolutely love this! Although I do truly love how Corona Del Mar in California had set fire rings to keep things tidy, we do try to dig our pits deep enough in Texas to keep the beaches beautiful.
North Padre is my go to for South Texas though. I always meet the most friendly people and have the most wonderful time. There are always so many families and children laughing and playing. Sometimes they’re from far away and sometimes they’re locals like us. Fathers, Uncles, Grandfathers play ball with their families and automatically ask other little boys to join, especially when they’re there with only a Momma bear. (Which warms my heart endlessly. There are some really good Dad’s, Uncles and Grandpas out there! So much love to y’all! Keep up the amazing work building great young men and being a positive influence!) The smell of food, the salty sea air and campfires mixed with the sound of laughter, ocean waves and the children squealing as the cold water hits their legs fills my heart with so much joy. Finding friends is easy and being able to let down and relax is the vibe. The area simply says “this is your place, come chill with me.”
I hope you all have a really blessed day! And remember too take the time to live on island time as much as possible.
